What is a Jimmy Jib?

The Jimmy Jib is arguably the best lightweight remote head camera crane on the market. It is designed to integrate with virtually all video formats as well as 16mm and 35mm film cameras (with the addition of a lens control sytem). Its maximum length is 40 feet (12m) but can also be rigged as small as 6ft. Extension kits are simply added or removed enabling access for tight and awkward locations. The Jimmy Jib offers smooth shots comparible to its heavier cousins, while offering the benefit of being highly portable. The Jimmy Jib is equally at home in extreme location environments or a studio.
